I finally got around to uploading it...

Graduation

Finally I did it. Finally after finishing over 6 months ago the ceremony came. I could go on and on about the experience but we all know pictures are worth a thousand words. I will tell you something though. We had the worst hotel experience ever. First of all there was a bad smell...pretty much a smokers room. We were never informed of this. There was also no toilet roll holder, a really saggy futon bed and a cockroach in the bathroom. Never again will we stay at Sky Accomodation Wollongong. We were prepared to pay for the one night but when we left we had to pay a cancellation fee. Fair enough but the managers were not understanding about our experience. Anyway, enough about the hotel...here's the happy pictures.

Rate My Sleeping

Back at my home university, University of Wollongong, sleeping in lectures is a common practice and does not seem to be frowned upon by your fellow peers or professors. I was once the sleeper in my first year but I learnt that you should sleep in a bed, after all it is more comfortable. Well anyway, my friend sent me a picture of a guy dozing off in a database lecture and somebody actually took a mini video of his little sleeping spell. Fellow peers then proceeded to rate his sleep. See for yourself:

Position: 9.2 (There's no table. it's a book, therefore soft surface)
Depth of sleep: 7.5 (His shoulders still look quite tight)
Level of difficulty: 9.2
Total score: 9.2
Position: 7.6 (certainly uncomfortable, however he's using soft book, and falling into the table instead of sleeping backwards).
Depth of sleep: 8.2 (have to disagree with the others, the sports bag next to him implies that he is in deep sleep after an exhausting amount of exercise.
Level of difficulty: 8
Total score: 7.93 repeater!

And of course to top it off we have the youtube vid:

The night before

Well I'm sitting here all alone. Vanessa has just gone out to see some friends and Courtney has gone to church. Tonight is the last night I'll ever be with them here at uni. Such a sad day, however all my roommates have taught me a great lesson. This lesson is to open your door to everyone, don't shut people out but let them in! There is without a doubt that Courtney, Julien, Vanessa and Mariah have changed my life and I thank them so much for this. I'll most definitely have the opportunity to see everyone again in the US - bar Julien, which he is thinking about coming to Albury towards the end of July (which would be great). In memoriam of Autumn semester 2007 at UOW and my final semester at UOW also (!), I leave a tribute to the "family".

SECTE Trade Fair and Random Info

Let me just start off with a congratulations to 'nexus' on being voted "Most Popular Choice Trade Fair Prize 2006". Our team, 'numex' came in at second and 'Meditracker' came in at 3rd. So overall it was unexpected but it was the best feeling I've had at uni. The trade fair is such an exciting event and I learnt a lot from it and I'm sure many of the other students did too. Below is few photos of most of the numex team :D

Looking all professional...

Some people just have to be in all the photos

After the trade fair, celebrations kicked in immediately, with some teams heading to the uni bar. Pia and I first headed down to the local bottle-o for some pre-drinks and a satisfying chinese dinner. Matt me up with us and after much contemplation he decided to stay and we drank up. Later on in the night, Jeff and Zeynep came and picked us up (how nice of them :D ) and dropped us off at glassy. This being about 10pm it was still very quiet. We were trying to chase Baafi down all this time and he wasn't even there!!!!! So then we walked to Coonies. After a not so inviting $10 entrance fee it started to be ok. Although the music wasn't great I had fun by forgetting about uni work for once in my life.

At around midnight if I can recall correctly (!), Jason rocks up with John and Eddy wasted as anything and attempt to enter Coonies. To no avail we spent a bit longer at Coonies before we headed off home. I then cooked some pork sausages for the after grog snack and then went to bed after we all shut up.

Saturday 21st October (Almost late afternoon...lol):
Pia and I woke up at about midday but just lay there talking until about 3. This was about the time we decided to leave soon hahaha because Mark's gig started at 8:30 or something at the Excelsior Hotel in Glebe. We got to Sydney at around 5pm and we were so tired it was unbelievable. The gig was great, I got to hear the band Saving Grace. Photos of the night are available at Mark's myspace.

Sunday 22nd October:
Woke up late again since coming home late from the gig. After two years of being around Sydney, Pia and I decided to walk the harbour bridge. Liza came along to which was good. It was really windy but the exercise was great, especially when you walk towards The Rocks and go to the Circular Quay maccas :D . After looking at the markets, we decided to walk back again. My legs killed!!! Pia did her shopping then we went to church. That was about it really. That was pretty much a fun filled weekend. It will be Pia's 20th on Wednesday and karaoke on Saturday!!! Yay can't wait. Anyway, here's a pic I took while we were on the bridge.

They always walk too fast

Today:
I'm just gonna post up a few more pics taken over the last 2 weeks and the entire semester. So enjoy guys.

I think I've seen that before...

I think you would get full before getting to the burger

The end is near

I seriously can't believe this week is over!!! I've done so much over the past week and there has been a few late nights/mornings trying to finish assignments. But now that the bulk of it is out of the way I can enjoy a hopefully enjoyable weekend in Albury with Jeff.

Today I also picked up my Golden Key certificate because I couldn't attend the ceremony, it kinda makes me feel special in a way. Next week is week 13 and it is going to be hell, and the week after that also. I've got a design project to finish over the weekend as it's due Thursday along with the process journal *rolls eyes*. This is the only project that Jeff and I have had problems getting ideas with.

Anyway I came across this website titled "The top 10 unintentionally worst company URLs". Just so you know what I mean, I'll give you an example of one.

Hehehe, my wierd sense of humour. On another note, talented musician Drew Seeley recently replied to my email when I asked him about getting my hands on some live videos as I've never seen him play, only heard. He said he is touring soon but I'm not sure if he will be coming to Australia. However, there are videos and music on the "Cheetah Girls 2 DVD". I'll have to look into that when I get time.

Anyway I'm going to grab some dinner and pack my bags for tomorrow. Night.

The aftermath

My oh my its been a while hasn't it? I've just come back into uni mode after the week break though I was working 5 days straight on uni stuff to catch up on stuff. It's pretty much endless but I think I've got everything under control. I just had lunch then I came onto the computer just now to do stuff and I found photos taken by my old roomates Timon and Soichiro (best buds!) of our rabbit. I have no clue where the rabbit is now but its probably gone to a better place.

Well there's not much to talk about. All I can remember is that I had a good weekend in Sydney shopping around, not to mention I will probably go see Pia & co. this weekend also because I don't really have much to do and have to go to Giordano to spend $75 worth of gift vouchers. So now I'll just leave with a little pic of our cute little rabbit.
