My Birthday
So I did turn 22. It's not really the big birthday you go out and celebrate but I had a nice family lunch/dinner and then the next day I had dinner with a few close friends at La Porchetta. I played the Albury Easter Open all long weekend. Didn't do that well. Got past two rounds of doubles and got cleaned up in the singles. Met some awesome people though! I leave you behind with snapshots from last night.
After dinner we went to Cold Rock where I ran into doubles opponents just on the way back to Sydney. Small place Albury. We then headed to Intencity where Ben was unlucky enough to score a wet seat on Daytona and the machine didn't even work. As usual, I donated my ticket prizes to the little kids running around (brownie points). BTW, check out my sunglass tan...
April Sucks
I was looking back at the archives for April last year. Seems like I had a lot more fun filled tennis. It looks like Easter didn't fall during that month...I think. I only had a small post about my 21st, that reflected the amount of fun I had haha! Nah it was fun, I think it made me realise about what I had to change in my life one at a time, to get where I am now. I think I've achieved two of the priorities I set for myself. One was to find a job, and second was to get active and lose those kilos.
I think I've done an OK job on the kilos. Could do with more still. So now where...I've got the Albury Easter Tournament this Friday, don't know how that will go. Maybe if I get motivated or something to drive myself to play well would actually do better than just getting out there. I think that's what happened in the Wodonga Labour Day. There was no driving force and I got poor results, or maybe I was just crap!
So my 22nd. As with last birthday, no plans again. Cut my friends left in Albury divided by the same number I originally started with - 1. Probably my only closest friend Drage will be around. It just doesn't seem like it should be celebrated anyway. I think I've reached that stage in life where myself or others don't really take an interest anymore. It must be natural.
So what's left to look forward to for the rest of the month, 3 months, 6 months .....year? I don't know. I'll just keep driving and dodging the potholes along the way until I get pulled over...
Albury – Canberra – Wollongong – Albury
1500kms onto my car last weekend. It was well worth it though. I spent some time with Liz in Canberra and Jeff in Wollongong. The weekends go way to fast when you are occupied. In Canberra, Liz and I just looked around Canberra centre and even went to Woden to see Meg! I met Jeff back at his place before we took the journey to Wollongong. The drive went like an eternity.
In Wollongong, I had a chance to hit with my old tennis coach - Michelle and I also played with Jeff and his mate Khan. Besides from that, I just ate a lot of pizza and then proceeded to sit in a car for 6 hours on the way home. The drive back home was a killer. I started to ring random people from my phonebook (using my bluetooth headset of course) to pass the time.

At Freedom Furniture...thinking of ideas for my dream apartment

Early Saturday morning, the usual eggs and toast for breakfast
Burrumbuttock Tennis
I'm a few weekends late on this one. Better late than never. So in what seems to be a "series" of doubles tournaments, Burrumbuttock was the final one I think. It was a mixed tournament and Andrew and I struggled to find partners. We did show up though and we ended up with good teammates! Andrew and his partner came runners up, Ad's came first (trophy hunter
) and I assume that Kirsty and I came 3rd. Great fun and atmosphere with a good balance of competitiveness.
