Canberra
So I did think I was going to be in Melbourne, but my RedHat Enterprise Linux course got cancelled (probably due to insufficient course numbers). Luckily I ended up in Canberra a week earlier! Everything kind of fell into place. Liz was able to hitch a lift with me that Sunday as well and I made an appearance at Jeff's birthday with Pia on Monday night. So first, Jeff's birthday was just near his place in Kingston. Nice area, actually real nice. Good amenities and restaurants. Started off a local pub then ended up at a nice Chinese restaurant for dinner.
The rest of the week merely involved doing the course - it was very interesting, in one word "inspiring". I always seem to get right into it because it's fresh in my mind. I spent some time hanging around with Liz, Meg, Yuli, Vincent and my aunt and her friends. I had some fun at Mooseheads - not as good as I expected it to be, and also at icbm. Lot of people out Thursday night...probably because uni had just finished. Also went to this place called Hippo Bar. Quite a small place and it was really hot, didn't really get to appreciate the music played there because of it. Overall, an enjoyable week. I hope December brings plenty of happy things for me (and you).
