Easter Canberra

There was pretty much a spontaneous decision in going to Canberra for easter. Even more spontaneous was Dylan and Kristen coming along for the ride. It was good for them to come along because they really wanted to see other parts of Australia and not just be stuck in Albury 24/7 haha. We saw a lot of the sights again and spent some time with the family. Of course Dylan and Andrew couldn't get away from their beloved sport. Kristen even commented "it's endless" after Dylan imitated Federer's trophy position. I thought it was pretty funny.

How to share your files on a windows machine to a mac

Since I have a mac at home which Andrew uses, I finally got around to get file sharing to work. All our music is on my external HDD hooked up to our main pc. I found out how to share it over the network and get the mac to access it using this website. Hope it works quickly for those who need this!

Racquet restringing

I thought it would be a good time to let you guys know that my brother and I have started up a business. We offer a tennis racquet restringing service and are legally known as "AJStringers". Visit the webpage at http://ajstringers.com

Our prices are pretty competitive and are way cheaper than shop counterparts. As far as we know, some sports stores are charging double for the services we can provide you. Our service is professional and we use a range of string depending on your budget and personal playing ability. So if you need to bring some new life to your game, visit the site and get in contact with us.

Requests of a pizza delivery driver

I think it's about time I said something since lately I've been concerned about where I stand in relation to customers.

1. Pizza delivery isn't instant, it takes time to make, cook and then drive out to your place.
2. When you order during peak times, expect your order to take a little longer. When it arrives, don't blame the driver.
3. Please leave your front light on to make it easier to find your house, it can get your pizza delivered faster.
4. Don't let your dogs attack us.
5. It's physically impossible to hand over money and the pizza at the same time.
6. A little tip never goes to waste, we always show gratitude and professionalism the next time you order.

Bee sting

Last night was the mixed doubles final against the "Funny Bunnies" and the "Mustangs". Our team has never beaten the Mustangs since I joined early on in the season. We always have trouble against their team for some reason. I get really annoyed at myself playing doubles on Thursday nights because I can't really make some of my best tennis. I hit well throughout the week then come Thursday, I slump and make 100000 unforced stupid errors. I must say it could be the change of pace...or lack of proper technique. Anyway, back to the finals thing.

Mark and I had a close match. We were up 5-3 with match points only to surrender it to Mick and Andrew 6-5 (first to 6 match). Dissapointing but Krystee and Jo leveled the match with their 6-3 win in the ladies doubles. While watching the ladies play, a bee flew around my forehead and I tried to blow it away and it stung me. Right on the forehead. I pulled the stinger out and it hurt so much! I quickly grabbed an ice pack and called dad to bring me some antihistamines just in case. Soon later, Krystee and I won our mixed and so did Jo and Mark. We were 3-1 up in sets. It wasn't over yet. Last week we pulled an amazing comeback from 3-1 down so it was important to keep the lead.

Jo and I led at some stage during our mixed but fell apart to give it to them 6-3. Luckily Mark and Krystee plugged along and finally pulled the last set 6-5! Mark's head was really into the game last night and he, along with all of us deserved to pull off a win this time! :P Prizes weren't too fantastic but at least we have something to remember it by. We got a hand towel and a nice pair of socks.

Next season, we will all be playing again, bar Jo who probably will stop mid way through winter. Andrew and I are organizing a Monday night team (just need some girls) and hopefully I'll be playing section 1 in the winter also to get myself some good tennis, even if it means getting bageled!

A trip up to the South Coast

Yes, again it has been ages since I've posted something new but that usually means I'm quite busy. Earlier this week I headed up to Wollongong for a "Welcome Back" session for the students that went on exchange last semester. This was a good opportunity for me to catch up with my friends that I had "dogged". Well I like didn't dog them on purpose but it's how life works I suppose. You just have to move on and continue to live it, whatever way it takes you.

Jeff, Zeynep and I left for Sydney after the welcome back session. We drove to heaps of places trying to find an actual tennis pro-shop. They seem to so hidden and even the phone book says they don't exist. We even got all the way to Olympic Park and were told that they didn't sell any equipment. They did direct us to Tennis Ranch in Gladesville which was pretty good. The shop is huge and I think I could spend an entire day in there! I ended up getting some string and a ballhopper nevertheless.

That night we had dinner at Star City, meeting up with Matt and Pia. The buffet was OK. I'm kind of sick of buffet food since I had it every day when I was in Colorado. As usual, I bring you some pictures of the event.
