Credit Cards In Australia

When there are a lot of banks and credit unions, this means that there are also a large amount of credit cards to choose from. Usually people apply for credit cards with the bank they are already with, but the problem with this is that their current bank may not well suit their needs. Australia's leading reviewer of credit cards, creditcards.com.au, allows people on their site to Compare Credit Cards. You can compare different credit cards by state, as well as interest free period, annual fee and interest charges. With the most comprehensive list and ability to compare across all cards, there is no reason why you shouldn't turn to creditcards.com.au before you choose your credit card.

21st birthday plans

My 21st is still a while off (take a look at the countdown timer) but I was wondering what I could do to celebrate the occasion. Any ideas would be great, just leave a comment and I'll consider it. However, I'm thinking that a small backyard party with food and nice drinks would suffice - then headed off to town to finish the night off. What do you guys think?

Have Fun with Replica Guns

For those of you reading my blog from the US, I'm sure you've all been exposed to some sort of air pistols, especially if you are from the rural parts of the country. I've only ever used a toy gun back in the Philippines but I couldn't bring it back for obvious reasons of being stopped at the airport, although this was prior to the increased security measures of the September 11 tragedies. Whether you have guns as a hobby, sport or recreation, a website called Airgundepot.com stocks plenty of guns for all uses. They also stock accessories and ammunition for that all essential target practise you need, hunting and paintballing. Head over for great prices and a wide range to select from.

Some random January activities

First on the agenda is the short little trip Meg and Liz made to show Meg around Albury. It was good to see them since our family had Christmas lunch with them not too long ago. We ended up having lunch at the Zed Bar (old Globe Hotel). The meals were huge and relatively cheap. As usual, I have a happy snap of the occasion.

Also during this time, Krystee's brothers came down from Benalla to take a "holiday" from the place. I would be doing that as well since there's nothing much to see in Benalla - apart from the slogan "If you can't get to Paris, come to Benalla!" LOL. Anyway, they were down, we had some fun, went swimming, BBQ and the most important game of all - KINGS CUP! I was lucky enough not to get the cup but Alex and Sam did. We all came to the conclusion that he lost (haha).

Online betting with Betfair

Once in a while, I place some bets on the tennis just to make it that little bit more exciting than it already is. As most of you already know, the Australian Open 2008 is nearly coming to a close - with that meaning, less time to place a bet. Most people that place bets head over to a local betting place to try their luck. As always, there is a much easier way to bet your money in the comfort of your own home - especially due to the insanely hot weather Australia has been having at the moment.

You can place your bet online with the services provided by Betfair. Not only do they offer betting on sports, but also on online casino games. They also claim that their sports bets win 20% more than other online betting facilities. To start you off into the online betting world, they offer a free 25 pound credit for sports lovers or a 50 pound casino bonus for those online casino gamers. If you need to place that last minute bet, even when all the local betting spots are closed, consider an online bet with Betfair.

Happy Australia Day

January 26 is the biggest day of celebration in Australia. We celebrate the good stuff about Australia and being an Aussie of course! The holiday is observed in all states and territories in Australia. As it fell on a Saturday this year, Monday becomes the actual Australia Day public holiday instead. The best things about our country is the people, the land, our diversity, indigenous cultures, freedom and democracy and giving a "fair go" to all!
